Lab Tests Available

Lab Tests Tab: Website

We offer many types of lab testing. Sometimes these tests are required for treatment. Depending on the patient's condition, working without them can be like working blindfolded. We make the requirements on a case by case basis.

For detailed questions, here are the primary choices for lab work:

Blood Work

We offer comprehensive blood work that looks at detailed markers for blood sugar, thyroid, cholesterol, infections, kidney's, blood iron levels, etc. Our panels are typically much larger than the average doctor because we look at many more markers for wellness. (Panel Prices Vary. Please inquire.)

We offer a full saliva panel that checks for cortisol markers (adrenal health) and hormonal markers. This test is helpful if you are feeling a variety of symptoms – fatigue, stress, hormone imbalance, or on the opposite end – very jittery, experiencing insomnia. (Approx: $125 - $225)

Food Sensitivity Testing – IgG, IgA Panel

This is also a blood test that is used to test for food sensitivities and intolerances. This test is for delayed reactions that cause more subtle inflammation and disturbances in the body that may be holding you back from optimal wellness. (Approx: $190 - $325)

Cyrex Gluten Intolerance Testing

We are partnered with Cyrex Laboratories to offer the most extensive gluten sensitivity testing available in the US. There are four Assays available and the most commonly used test is to look at 24 different parts of a gluten particle that a person could react to. This is much more extensive than the 1-3 markers that a typical blood test examines. This lab also offers a cross-reactive food test that establishes other foods that may cause the same reaction as a gluten based food. This test looks at items such as dairy, quinoa, hemp, yeast, etc. (Approx: $225 - $550)

PreDx – Diabetes Risk Score

This is a first-of-its-kind predictive blood test that measures multiple biomarkers linked to critical biological pathways implicated in the development of diabetes. The PreDx reclassifies a vast “at-risk” diabetes population (currently 57 million) into more clearly differentiated risk categories, and identifies those individuals at highest risk of developing diabetes within the next 5 years. The test results are clearly marked with graphs and detailed information regarding various indicators. This helpful information will help us design a plan for you, so that we have the best chance of preventing diabetes in the future. (Cost: Free with most insurance, Cash: $300)

SpectraCell Nutrient Testing

SpectraCell Laboratories, Inc. is a CLIA accredited clinical laboratory that specializes in micronutrient testing. This patented process resulted from 18 years of research at the University of Texas. The micronutrient tests measures how micronutrients are actually functioning within white blood cells. These tests allow nutritional assessment for a broad variety of clinical conditions including arthritis, cardiovascular risk, diabetes, various immunological disorders, metabolic disorders and micronutrient deficiencies. Also offered by SpectraCell is a specialized profile of homocysteine, lipids and proteins to assess cardiovascular risk. (Cost: $170 with compatible insurance, $400 cash for micronutrient testing. Lipid Panels and Telomeres are additional costs.)

Other Lab Tests

We also offer hair testing and stool testing as needed.
