Anna's Kitchen: Nutrient Dense Cooking Classes!

Written by Lisa Beaury. Posted in Anna's Kitchen - Heirloom Recipes,

Join us for our 2013 series of Nutrient Dense Cooking Classes.  We’ll have a seminar each week to help you make steps towards a healthier lifestyle of eating for you and your family. Adults and children are best physically nourished through nutrient dense, real food.  In each seminar you’ll learn how to make simple, nutrient dense recipes to incorporate into your everyday meal planning. We’ll show you how to gradually do a pantry makeover and how to cook with your new, nutrient dense pantry foods.  These are foods your kids will love.

We are dedicated to helping children and adults through education and consulting in the areas of nutrition and lifestyle choices. Our cooking classes are geared towards families who want to make a change toward more nutrient dense foods.  We’ll start with the basics and grow your knowledge from there.  Learn how to make kid and adult friendly nutrient dense meals and snacks.  Take home recipes and find out where to get the best ingredients.

Jan 20, 2013 - The Whole Food Pantry  (2p-4p)

Learn what a whole food pantry looks like.  We’ll teach you the basics of how you can gradually change over your “go to” items in your pantry to the most nutrient dense foods available and how to use them every day.

*Organic, gluten free snacks will be served along with recipes to take home.

Jan 27, 2013 - Stock or Broth, what’s the difference? (2p-4p)

Feb 3, 2013 - Soups On!! (2p-4p)

Learn how to make delicious nutrient dense soups that will keep you warm and healthy this winter.

*Samples will be served along with recipes to take home.

Feb 10, 2013 - Valentines and Chocolate (2p-4p)

Learn how to make a gourmet flourless chocolate cake for your Valelntine!

Recipes will be based on Nourishing Traditions by Sally Fallon, Westin A Price, GAPS diet by Dr Campbell-McBride, gluten free, soy free and egg free options.  A healthy life starts in the gut.  Our bodies are perfectly made and then came processed foods.  Our lives are so busy that grab and go at the grocery store or drive through is the easiest, but not the healthiest. We’ll show you that preparing nutrient dense meals is not time consuming or overwhelming. The mystery of where to begin stops when you attend your first cooking class!

The cost of these classes is $10 each. This cost is only to cover the samples provided and food for demonstrations. We are hopeful that this low cost will encourage people to come and bring friends. Our main mission and passion is to get this information out to as many people as possible.

Ever noticed a child, teen or adult clearing their throat or making funny sounds all the time?  How about constant winking, blinking, shoulder shrugging or wincing movements?  These are all symptoms of Tourettes syndrome.  How about people that worry all the time no matter how much they want to stop?  These worries can make them behave in certain ways, sometimes called OCD.  Do you or someone you care about have trouble focusing, finishing a task, organizing, paying attention, fidgeting or feeling restless?  These are all symptoms of ADHD, Obsessive Compulsive Disorder, Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder and Tourettes Syndrome.  They are all neurological and respond to nutritional support.
