Frequenty Asked Questions

Question: Do I have to buy your supplements?

Answer: Yes. We have pharmaceutical grade supplements that are not available without a healthcare practitioner's license. They may appear more expensive on the surface, but they are stronger than what's available in stores and more easily assimilated by the body due to the nutrient's form. This results in fewer pills and better results. We have noticed many times over that OTC supplements are not as effective for patients.

Question: Do you take insurance?

Answer: No, but we will furnish a Superbill, along with ICD9 codes and CPT codes for your insurance company if you wish to be reimbursed.

If you are seeing Lisa, it's best to see if your insurance has CAM (Complementary and Alternative Medicine) coverage before you come. Make sure a Doctor of Oriental Medicine visit is covered. Insurance does NOT pay for supplements/herbs.
Dr. MacIsaac is a Medical Doctor and offers superbills for all of her visits.  Your coverage will depend on your plan.
Often a Flex Spending Account will cover our services.

Question: What kind of practitioners do you have there?

Lisa Beaury - Owner, Doctor of Oriental Medicine, Integrative Wellness Specialist

Dr. Kathleen MacIsaac, MD

JoAnn Fekany – Licensed Massage Therapist whose practice encompasses many modalities

Maureen Shaw - LMT / Ideal Protein Director

All of our remedies are herbal, homeopathic or vitamin based.
We refer patients as needed to Chiropractors, Physical Therapists, Mental Health Counselors and other various practitioners.

Question: Can I pay in installments?

Answer: No. We have tried this in the past numerous times and it is just not in the best interest of the practice.

Question: Do you have any experience treating my disease?

Answer: Regardless of the diagnosis you may have been given, we approach wellness very similarly with everyone. Healing the body is like peeling the layers of an onion and we start the most prevalent items for each person and work deeper as we move through appointments. Please feel free to call the office if you want to discuss your case before you come in.

Question: I came there a long time ago; do I need a new patient appointment?

Answer: Generally speaking, anyone who has not been here in more than three years needs a new patient appointment.

Question: How frequently do I have to come to appointments?

Answer: This will truly depend on the health of the individual. Generally, we estimate every 4-6 weeks for at least 4 appointments, then probably every few months for awhile and our end goal is for clients to come in twice a year for rechecks unless something unexpected happens. If you have never had this type of care before and you have multiple issues, expect to come regularly for about one year. Generally people start to feel better very quickly, but there are many layers we need to work with and that takes awhile to support the body through healing.

Question: I saw on your website that you do lab testing. Do I have to have the lab work done? Can you explain the details?

Answer: We offer many types of lab testing. Sometimes these tests are required for treatment. Depending on the patient's condition, working without them can be like working blindfolded. We take the requirements on a case by case basis.

For detailed questions, here are the primary choices for lab work:

Bloodwork – We offer comprehensive blood work that looks at detailed markers for blood sugar, thyroid, cholesterol, infections, kidney's, blood iron levels, etc. Our panels are typically much larger than the average doctor because we are looking at many more markers for wellness. (Panel Prices Vary – full panel is $228)

Saliva – We offer a full saliva panel that checks for cortisol markers (adrenal health) and hormonal markers. This test is helpful if you are feeling a variety of symptoms – fatigue, stress, hormone imbalance, or on the opposite end – very jittery, experiencing insomnia. (approx: $210)

Food Sensitivity Testing – This is also a blood test that is used to test for food sensitivities and intolerances. This test does not test for extreme allergies to items that cause anaphylactic shock. This is for foods that cause more subtle inflammation and disturbances in the body that may be holding you back from optimal wellness. (Between $189 and $700 depending on the number of tests.)

Other Lab Tests
We also offer stool tests, hair tests and many others are available by order.
